📣We want to hear from you on Visalia Transit's Route 17!

The public comment period for the proposed changes to Visalia Transit Route 17 closes Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

The proposal was brought forward after an evaluation showed consistently low ridership, resulting in buses often operating with few or no passengers. As stewards of public funding, we regularly review our services to ensure transit resources are being used efficiently while continuing to meet our community's transportation needs.

If you currently ride Route 17, have used it in the past, or would like to share your thoughts, we encourage you to submit your comments:

📱 Social Media: Comment/Direct Message
📧 Email: [email protected]
📞 Phone: Greenline 1-877-404-6473

Or attend the Public Hearing during the next City Council meeting:
📅 Tuesday, September 8.
📍 In-person at the City Council Chambers, inside City Hall West, 707 W. Acequia Ave., Visalia.
💻 Watch virtually and use the instructions for participating remotely, these are included on each meeting agenda. Link to the City Council Meeting Calendar in the comments.

Your feedback matters and will be considered as part of the decision-making process!

As Visalia continues to grow, we’re investing in the roads and infrastructure needed to keep our community moving.

From 2024 to 2026, the City constructed approximately $65 million in capital improvement projects, including improvements to major corridors like Tulare Avenue and Caldwell Avenue.

In this video, Council Member Emmanuel Hernandez Soto highlights how these projects are helping improve traffic flow, safety, accessibility, and our transportation network for the future.

"Oh, sometimes the road is rugged, and it's hard to travel on, but holdin' to each other, we don't have to walk alone. When everything is broken, we can mend it if we try, we can make a world of difference, if we want to we can fly." - Dolly Parton 🎵✨

Flags are flying at half-staff at City facilities until September 1, 2026 by proclamation of President Trump, as a mark of respect for the memory of Dolly Parton.
