⚡ E‑Bike Safety Starts at Home — Parents, Let’s Keep Our Teens Safe ⚡
E‑bikes are becoming more popular with teens, offering freedom, speed, and fun. But with that extra power comes extra responsibility. Parents, your guidance is essential in making sure young riders stay safe on the road.
A few important reminders:
• Helmets are a must—e‑bikes reach higher speeds, making protection even more critical.
• Set clear rules about safe riding, speed limits, and staying off sidewalks and unsafe areas.
• Check the bike regularly to ensure brakes, batteries, and lights are working properly.
• Talk about traffic awareness, including watching for cars, using bike lanes, and riding defensively.
• Discourage risky behavior like riding with friends on the same e‑bike, weaving through traffic, or using phones while riding.
By staying involved and setting expectations, parents can help create safer rides and safer roads for everyone. Let’s work together to keep our teens protected and responsible.
