❗️Reminder for parade entries❗️

🤡 Line up starts at 10:00am
🤡 Please enter from the East on the corner of Lincoln Lane and 4th St.
🤡 Please leave 4th St. between Hansina and Lincoln open for Emergency vehicles and large entries.
🤡 All vehicles not in the parade need to be out of the parking lot by 10:00am. Please have floats ready before you line up.

‼️PARADE LINE UP NOTICE:
Parade Route Below. The Parade starts at 11:00am. Line up can start at 10:00am.
All parade entries should enter the Sioux Valley parking lot area through the intersection of Lincoln Lane and 4th Street. Please do not park along 4th Street between Hansina and Lincoln; we need to keep it open for larger parade entries. Thank you for making the parade successful for all!

Vehicles not in the parade will not be allowed in the parking lot after 10:00am.

🌩The Volga Auditorium (212 Kasan Ave) and the Volga Community Center (109 Samara Ave) are the city's designated storm shelters. The Volga Auditorium has a basement and is the official designated storm shelter, but it is not handicap accessible. The Volga Community Center is handicap accessible but does not have a basement. Pets are welcome but must be under the owner's control while inside and cared for.

☀️ Summer is here, and that means more bikes, e-bikes, scooters, and wheeled devices on our streets and sidewalks!

To help keep everyone safe, the City of Volga and the Brookings County Sheriff's Office would like to remind residents of the rules and ordinances that apply to riders of all ages.

Please take a few minutes to review the information in the flyers below and discuss these safety tips with your children and family members. Together, we can help make our streets, sidewalks, and parks safer for everyone.

🛴 Follow traffic laws
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Be respectful of pedestrians
🪖 Wear a helmet and ride safely

Reminder! Yard waste dumpsters located North of the ball fields and in the Community Center parking lot are for yard waste only. *No plastic bags or other items allowed.
Acceptable items include: grass, leaves, lawn clippings and plant foliage.

Mad City Windows & Baths of Sioux Falls has properly applied and paid the application fee to receive a solicitor license from the City of Volga. Jalen Green will be in the city providing free estimates for windows and baths.

🕒ICYMI: Kate's House of Hounds, LLC. and Back Alley Meats were honored with Heartland Energy's Community Spark Award during National Small Business Week with multiple nominations for each business! Both were recognized for their creativity, local partnerships, and commitment to serving their community.

🏦Both Kate and Dan came to City Hall in late 2023 within a few weeks of each other inquiring of available land or buildings. They worked with the City, the Volga Development Corporation, and Heartland Energy, which resulted in finding locations and ultimately starting up their new business!

👏Congratulations to both businesses and thank you for choosing Volga!
