TXDOT will be working Sunday through Thursday for the next two weeks from 9 am to 5pm repaving lanes on IH 35 S, as well as the exit ramps from Loop 410 to Kinney Rd.

🥶 The timing of the Arctic cold front is speeding up, now expected to arrive Sunday, January 14! Make all freeze preps by Saturday.

Temps will plummet Sunday. By Monday morning — MLK Jr Day — it will be in the teens and 20s around San Antonio & the Hill Country. Brutal wind chill for the MLK Jr. march. Even colder Tuesday morning, January 16.

While there’s still a small chance for a light wintry mix Sunday night, the biggest impact will be the cold temperatures. Bring pets inside. Cover or bring in plants. It would be a good idea to drip faucets, insulate any outdoor spigots, and any older, metal pipes. By Wednesday, January 17, we’ll be back in the 40s. Von Ormy, we want to make you aware of this suspicious person who rummaged through vehicles on a property in Von Ormy. Fled scene when confronted by homeowner. His shoes fell off as he fled the scene. Hispanic male 20-30 years old, black hoodie, khaki pants, left behind his Nike Air V***r Max.

If he wants them back he can contact the Von Ormy Police department 😁.
