Can't get enough of Fort Loudoun?

Join us this Saturday at the Charles Hall Museum for a glimpse into Tennessee history during the 18th century. A Fort Loudoun staff member will be attending the event and doing a live musket firing, showing off the uniform of the Fort Loudoun soldiers, and answering questions about how the French and Indian War set the stage for the Revolutionary War.

Whether you're a history enthusiast or just curious about 18th century life, come out and see us!

⚠️ Park Road Work Notice ⚠️

Please be aware that maintenance work is currently taking place along the park road. As a result, some trailheads may be temporarily inaccessible at various times throughout the project.

We understand this comes at a time when there are several construction projects happening throughout the park, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve park facilities and infrastructure.

Have some extra canned goods or other food items you’d like to donate? You can drop it off at our food donation box at the park.

All donations go to the Good Shepherd Center in Madisonville,TN to help locally.

📍The donation box is located in the picnic area parking lot (the only open parking lot on park currently other than trailheads) due to our visitor center being closed.

🕐 Donations can be dropped off anytime during normal park operation hours. The park is open seven days a week and opens at 8am. Park gates close for sunset.

Every donation big or small makes a difference. See photos below for what to look for in the picnic area.

Due to sewage issues the visitor center is closed. It will be closed throughout the weekend because of this. Scheduled programs are going on as planned, however, please plan accordingly. There are no restrooms available on the park at this time. We are sorry for this inconvenience.

Amongst other things, the visitor center now does not have running water. Our main water line into the building has been busted. Restrooms are unavailable across the entire park at this moment in time.

Join Seasonal Interpretive Ranger John Wallace for an interactive program exploring Overhill Cherokee fur hunting and trade, its role in creating Fort Loudoun, and its impact on Overhill society and culture in the 18th century Little Tennessee River Valley. Feel real furs, explore reconstructed Overhill living spaces, and learn how everyday objects can impact an entire region and its people.

This 45-minute program is free to the public. We will meet in the picnic pavilion before taking a 10-15 minute walk to the fort. Bathrooms and seating will be available at the visitor center but not the fort or picnic pavilion. Wear clothes appropriate for hot weather and bring water.

This program is intended for visitors 8 years or older. All minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Join Seasonal Interpretive Ranger John Wallace for a walking tour of the reconstructed Fort Loudoun. Learn about the fort’s creation, daily life at the fort, and the siege that led to its abandonment to reveal the fort’s role in the French and Indian War.
