Today our School Resource Officers were excited for their at Eastern High School and the Voorhees Middle School.

PO Jon Daddario, PO Chase Waldman, and PO Mark Paranto are all certified New Jersey Association of School Resource Officers NJ Safe School Officers and will be working alongside of our Voorhees Police School Security Officers to ensure our children are well protected at Eastern Regional High School and all of the Voorhees Township Public Schools this school year.

The 2nd Annual Car Show is still on for tomorrow morning. A decision will be made tomorrow morning in regards to the weather. If the show is cancelled, it will be held on the advertised rain date of Sunday, 5/7, during the same times.

Don't forget, the Voorhees Police Foundation will be hosting their 2nd Annual Car Show this Saturday. In addition to all of the great cars, you can see our Police K-9 Unit put on a demonstration and look at some of our vehicles and equipment. There will be music, food, and a bounce house courtesy of J-Dogs Catering & Amusements. We hope to see you all there!

**Cars can be registered on the morning of the event.**

The Camden County Board of Freeholders held their monthly meeting at the Voorhees Town Hall yesterday. Individuals and organizations honored at the meeting include the Voorhees Police Foundation, Tutoring Club of Cherry HIll/Voorhees's Alan Cohen, five-year-old William Evertz, Jr., Towship Administrator Larry Spellman, the Trailblazers Club, retired CCMUA board chairwoman Doreen Dixon, and Employee of the Month Daniel Kane. *NATIONAL NIGHT OUT TONIGHT 8/2*

Just a reminder that one week from today, we will be hosting our 2nd Annual National Night Out at two locations. Both events will take place from 6pm-9pm at Osage and Kresson Schools, respectively. We are excited to see you at the events.

You can expect to see demos, police vehicles, fire trucks and ambulances, Public Works vehicles and recycling information, a moon bounce and carnival games courtesy of J-Dogs Catering & Amusements, safety information and vehicle display from AAA South Jersey, a fall prevention lecture (Kresson 6:30pm and Osage 8pm) for our senior population provided by Cooper University Health Care, face painting by Rizzieri Aveda School, food and drinks provided by Hope United Methodist Church- Voorhees New Jersey, Target Voorhees and ACME Markets, and an array of social service advocates and providers. In addition from 6pm-7pm at Osage you can drop off used, unwanted, and expired medications at our Project Medicine Drop mobile unit. The Dropbox will be at Kresson from 7:15pm-9pm.

We will also have music and numerous other surprises.
