I want to provide an update regarding Dennis and Carol Horn. Several group members have asked but we chose not to publicly share until I spoke with Carol to make sure they would be ok sharing.

They were both in a very terrible automobile accident and were struck by a drunk driver. Dennis went through 11 hours of surgery from the spinal cord being severed from when the drunk driver hit them with an industrial van at approximately 60 mph while they were stopped at a stoplight.

Dennis is permanently paralyzed from the waist down, so a changed life for him, them, in every way.

Carol is on her way home from the hospital tonight. Both can use all the encouragement and prayers possible during this difficult time. 🙏

If you would like to drop off or mail cards of encouragement we will be collecting them at our business located at 356 South Miami Street. We are open every Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays after 5pm and will have a collection box starting next Tuesday in the lobby. We will then make sure they all reach Dennis and Carol as they are unsure if they will be at a rehabilitation center to recover or home.

I’m sitting at the airport, ready to catch a flight west and was thinking about our upcoming 40 year reunion. Man, 40 years. My prayer is that ALL of you will do your best to attend. Also, as big as FB is, many of our classmates are not on it. Please do your best to reach out to them and tell them we truly want them to attend. Regardless if you were popular or not or involved in activities or not, we want to see you. If you do not have anyone to come with, you can come with me. 40 years is HUGE! Please come!
