This week is National EMS week! It is a weeklong event to help recognize the role that Emergency Medical Services plays in the nation's healthcare. This year's theme was chosen to help show that EMS is part of a team of professionals that are required in order to save a life. Those folks you sometimes call "ambulance drivers" are really a highly skilled group of Emergency Medical Responders, Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics that bring the Emergency Room to you! We then perform lifesaving care as we transport you to the hospital. When out and about this week, please say thanks to our local group of Volunteer's that keep Wabasso Ambulance responding to calls 24/7/365. An ambulance does NOTHING without the people that drop everything at a moments notice to respond to someone's call for help!
