On Friday, the McLennan County Health Services Department had the opportunity to participate in Project Homeless Connect, hosted by the Heart of Texas Homeless Coalition!

Our team was there to connect with community members, provide essential supplies, and share information about the County Indigent Health Care Program (CIHCP). By meeting people where they are, we can help connect individuals with healthcare coverage and services they may not otherwise know are available.

Thank you to the Heart of Texas Homeless Coalition for bringing community organizations together and giving us the opportunity to be apart of this important event and make sure individuals know the resources available to them. ๐Ÿ’™

Today, our County Indigent Health Care Program (CIHCP) team had the opportunity to bring enrollment services directly to the community at The Hangar in Waco, located at 417 S 17th Street

During the event, we enrolled 8 clients! While 8 may seem like a small number, we see it as 8 people who now have access to healthcare they may not have had before!

Every person matters. Every enrollment matters. And every connection we make brings us one step closer to making healthcare more accessible in our community.

A special thank you to The Hangar for welcoming us and giving us the opportunity to meet people where they are and connect them with resources that can make a difference!

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve our community and look forward to continuing to bring CIHCP enrollment services directly to the people who need them. ๐Ÿ’™

Who knew our Team Development Day would keep on growing?๐ŸŒฑ

Back in May, our Health Services team planted a garden at our new office, and itโ€™s been so rewarding to watch it come to life. With a little sunshine, lots of water, and teamwork, weโ€™ve just enjoyed our first harvest of fresh pear tomatoes! ๐Ÿ…

Not everything has been a success thoughโ€ฆour hydrangeas seem to have missed the memo about thriving in this Texas heat. ๐Ÿ˜… Any hydrangea experts out there with tips for us? Weโ€™d love to hear your advice!

Weโ€™re excited to keep watching our garden grow. Thank you to our team who has helped care for it along the way!
