Add a body-safety conversation to your list! Talk with children about:
• Their body belongs to them
• The difference between safe, unsafe, and confusing touches
• Trusted adults they can talk to
• How to say “no” and speak up when something doesn’t feel right

These conversations don’t have to be scary or overwhelming, they can be simple, age appropriate, and ongoing. Helping children understand boundaries and know they can come to you is an important part of keeping them safe. 💙

Someone sharing an experience of sexual violence doesn’t need you to have all the answers. What matters is creating a space where they feel heard, believed, and respected. This can be demonstrated through how you listen, where you sit, or even giving them the space to decide what they need. ❤️‍🩹

Navigating the aftermath of sexual violence can be overwhelming for survivors. Today, we’re exploring meaningful ways to offer support. Survivors deserve compassion-not interrogation and every detail is not needed to be shared for their experiences to matter or be acknowledged. Survivors will always deserve to be believed, have their boundaries respected, and receive the support and care they need. Reference: https://www.clerycenter.org/supporting-sa-survivors

Celebrating community, collective giving, and an incredible organization making a difference right here at home.

Last week, we gathered for the Second Annual Forever Fund Fête, where we had the honor of celebrating this year’s Forever Fund grant recipient, the Advocacy Center for Crime Victims & Children.

Pictured together are members of our Forever Fund Steering and Grantmaking Committees alongside Advocacy Center staff and board members—the people who helped make this year’s grant selection possible and those doing the important work this grant will support.

We are grateful to our committee members for the time, thoughtfulness, and heart they brought to this year’s process, and we are honored to partner with the Advocacy Center as they continue providing hope, healing, and support to individuals and families throughout our community.

This is what the Forever Fund is all about—coming together to make a greater impact.
