WCS Kinder students worked very hard to learn their sight words this nine weeks. They got to give a pie in the face to administrators and teachers. (Videos will be in separate posts).

Attention Waco Charter School families, friends, and community members: On Monday, February 27th the EOAC Board of Directors voted to return the school’s charter to the state. The Board President Ben Perry delivered the sad news to the Waco Charter staff at the Tuesday faculty meeting. A letter from Mr. Perry is being sent home today with students.

We thank ALL of our families that have supported us through the years. We plan on finishing the year strong & will support families in any way we can as education plans for next year are being made.

The school was among the first 20 or so Texas charter schools formed in 1996. With declining enrollment in recent years, budget constraints are forcing its closure.
