Today, Sheriff McNamara proudly swore in four new deputies to the McLennan County Sheriff's Office. This milestone marks the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and commitment to serving our community.
Deputy Riojas, Deputy Montgomery, Deputy Long, and Deputy Kirk began their careers within our Jail Division, where they demonstrated professionalism, perseverance, and a desire to continue serving at an even greater capacity. After applying for and successfully completing the Basic Peace Officer Academy, each deputy passed the Texas Peace Officer Licensing Exam and officially took the oath to serve and protect the citizens of McLennan County.
We are incredibly proud of these deputies and the determination they have shown throughout their journey. Their commitment to excellence reflects the values and traditions of the McLennan County Sheriff's Office, and we look forward to seeing them wear the badge with honor and integrity for years to come.
As part of their continued preparation for patrol duties, the deputies also successfully completed their rifle and pistol certification this week. Our Training Division works tirelessly to provide comprehensive in-house training that meets and exceeds all requirements set by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE), ensuring our deputies are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to serve our community at the highest level.
Please join Sheriff McNamara, Chief Deputy Burson, and the entire McLennan County Sheriff's Office in congratulating Deputy Riojas, Deputy Montgomery, Deputy Long, and Deputy Kirk on this outstanding achievement and welcoming them to a long line of dedicated deputies who have proudly served McLennan County.
👏 Congratulations, Deputies! We are honored to have you representing the citizens of McLennan County.
