Huge congratulations to the G.W. Carver Lady Panther Soccer team for their incredible performance against China Spring yesterday. Our girls played with unmatched intensity from start to finish.

China Spring came into the game with a perfect record, but the Lady Panthers proved that on any given day, Carver is the team to beat. Way to end that streak and show these teams what we’re made of!

What an incredible day on our home court! We were so honored to host the Middle School Special Olympics Basketball Tournament, and let’s just say... the energy in the gym was electric!

Our athletes didn't just play hard—they played with heart. While we are so proud of the grit and skill they showed on the court (and hey, those "W’s" on the scoreboard definitely made us cheer a little louder! ), the real highlight was seeing the smiles, the high-fives, and the pure joy of the game.

An event like this takes a village, and we have the best one around! A massive THANK YOU to:

• Our Functional Academics Teachers: Thank you for you for coaching our stars to game!

• Our Athletics Coaches: Huge shoutout for stepping in to referee and keep the games running smooth!

• Mr. Beavers: Our incredible MC who kept the crowd hyped and the energy high!

• Ms. Moore: Our amazing admin who worked behind the scenes to bring this entire event together.

We’re kicking off Teacher Appreciation Week at Carver with a literal tip of the hat! To celebrate the incredible educators who pour their hearts into our students every day, we are kicking off the week with a DIY Hat Bar.

From custom patches to creative flair, our teachers are rocking their new custom looks. It’s just a small way to say thank you for all the "hats" you wear every single day—mentor, cheerleader, innovator, and Difference Maker.

We are absolutely filled with Panther pride! It is a monumental day for our campus as we celebrate three incredible educators who went above and beyond to secure Waco Education Foundation grants for our students.

A massive THANK YOU to the generous sponsors, Dr Pepper and H-E-B, for investing in the future of our G.W. Carver Panthers. Your support turns our big dreams into reality!

Our 3 Grant Winners:

Ms. Licea (Band): Keeping the music playing! This grant will go toward repairing instruments and ensuring our award-winning band students have the high-quality equipment they need to keep bringing home the trophies.

Ms. G (Library): Doubling down on reading! Ms. G won two grants to complete several book series in our library and launch an exciting "Battle of the Books" competition. Get ready to read, Panthers!

Ms. Miller (Advanced Academics): Expanding horizons! As our Waco ISD Advanced Academics Director, Ms. Miller secured a grant to offset the costs of bringing the prestigious Research Class to Carver, opening new doors for our scholars.

Our campus success is a direct result of the passion and hustle of educators like these. They don’t just teach; they advocate, they lead, and they champion the resources our students deserve.

Huge congratulations to our girls' soccer team for a fantastic win against Mexia this week!

These girls are true athletes who left it all on the field, but what really stood out was their incredible sportsmanship. Playing hard, playing fair, and showing respect to their opponents—that is exactly what our program is all about. You showed total class from the first whistle to the last.
