Waco Great Strides for Cystic Fibrosis Waco Great Strides walk for cystic fibrosis will be held on October 11, 2025 at Redwood Shelter.

Join us for a morning of family-friendly fun, community connection and a cure for cystic fibrosis! GREAT STRIDES is the CF Foundation’s largest fund-raising event which takes place in cities around the country throughout the year. This year's Waco GREAT STRIDES offers a fun, family-oriented celebration that includes a healthy 5 kilometer (3.2 miles) walk, food, and festivities! Last year, the walk

raised $35,000 to research for a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. There are several children and adults in Waco suffer from this genetic disease which affects primarily the lungs and digestive system. Help us raise money for a cure by attending this event and supporting the fight against Cystic Fibrosis.

Waco Great Strides! We are 5 weeks out from the walk and it's time to start recruiting your team and fundraising to help us meet our walk goal of $16,500! We are a quarter of a way there!

Make sure to download the "Cure 4 CF" application (new this year) from the app store to make recruiting your team and asking for donations a breeze!

Important announcement! Due to a scheduling conflict, we have moved the location of Waco Great Strides to Redwood Shelter: 2300 Cameron Park Dr, Waco, TX 76708.

Date is still the same: Oct. 11; Check in/festivities: 9 am with a program and walk beginning at 10 am!

We are excited for the Valvoline Instant Oil Change Pin Up fundraising campaign for the CF Foundation that kicked off on October 1 and will continue through October 31!

We are lucky enough to have a local CF Fighter, Bryson, featured in the campaign in Waco!

Thank you Waco! To all of the team leaders, walkers, donors and volunteers we THANK YOU for making this year's event a success. The CF community is the backbone of the CF Foundation and you showed up in support of the 40,000 CF Fighters living with CF in the United States. Thank you for your continued support of our mission and for helping to SURPASS our fundraising goal!

Remember, there is still time to fundraise for Great Strides through the end of the year and earn great prizes and make an impact on our mission!
