This complex case took more than two years to investigate and prepare for trial. Witnesses from seven different states had to be located, repeatedly interviewed, and brought for trial.

We are so grateful for the phenomenal work of the Major Crimes Unit of the Waco Police Department, as well as WPD’s digital forensics unit.

The DA’s Office would also like to express our gratitude to the Catholic Diocese of Austin for its cooperation and transparency during the investigation.

Most of all, we are grateful for the immeasurable courage of these brave survivors, in Texas and beyond, who have ensured that no more women will fall prey to Anthony Odiong.
