Waco Volunteer Fire Department had an excellent opportunity today to practice real-world skills and develop new ones.

Our members received valuable hands-on training in both fire investigation and fire suppression, while several of our newer firefighters had the opportunity to experience live-fire conditions firsthand.

Training like this gives our experienced members the opportunity to sharpen their skills while allowing our newer firefighters to learn in a controlled environment before those skills are needed during an actual emergency.

A great day of training, teamwork, and building experience for the entire department.

We train together so we're ready when our community needs us.

Thank you also York Fire and Utica Fire for training along side us yesteday.

Thank you to all that came out and supported us this weekend. By attending and donating at our annual gizzards feed and today's hotdog feed.

We truly appreciate the support of the community and also enjoy watching the kids have fun!

Waco Days is almost here! Join us next weekend for some fun in the community. Gizzard feed Friday night at Hunters Lounge and Keno. Hotdog feed and kids water fights Saturday at the station. Hope to see you there!
