This Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., we invite you to join us for a benefit breakfast in support of one of our fellow firefighters from Utica Volunteer Fire Department and his family. They are working to raise funds for a wheelchair-accessible van for their two boys who are living with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

They will be serving eggs, biscuits, and gravy, and all proceeds will go directly toward helping this family purchase a van that will better meet their needs.

Please come hungry, bring a friend, and help us show what the fire service and our community are all about—standing together and taking care of our own.

2025- A year in review:

This has been a great year for the Waco Volunteer Fire Department

We have been busy over the last year, although less busy than 2024 (thank goodness)

2025 ushered in a new addition to our fleet with our new engine/ pumper truck. We also replaced our brush truck with a new (used) chassis.

Waco responded to 71 calls for service.
17 Fire Calls
44 Medical Emergency Calls
8 Motor Vehicle Accident Calls
2 Hazardous Materials Calls

We had an average of 5 responders per call

We had an average of 48 minutes per call. That works out to about 58.5 hrs of total time on Calls.

We requested mutual aid from our brothers and sisters in surrounding departments 10 times.

We responded to our mutual aid partners 8 times.

We also have several hours dedicated to training, meetings, and community engagements.

All of this is only possible because of the great support that we receive from YOU! Thank you for your endless and invaluable support from our community!

As we enter into 2026, know this... We hope that we dont have to see you in an emergency, but if we do, YOUR Waco volunteer fire department will ALWAYS be ready to help you in your time of need.

Have a safe and joyous 2026!
