🎉 **Hands-On Math Magic in 4th Grade!** 🎉

Our 4th graders are taking their addition skills to the next level! Today, students worked alongside our Math Intervention Specialist to deepen their understanding of multi-digit addition.

Instead of just memorizing the steps, students used place value disks to visually build and bundle numbers step-by-step. By physically moving the disks across the place value chart, they could directly see why and how regrouping works when connecting their models to traditional vertical form.

Making math visible build strong foundation skills and confidence! Way to shine, 4th grade mathematicians! 🌟🔢

In her very first year here at Brook, this person has already made an incredible impact. She was chosen for this well-deserved honor because of her extraordinary work ethic and unwavering dedication. Even on the toughest days when balance isn't easy, she gives her absolute all to our students and school community.

Unlocking a story’s secret superpower today in 4th grade! 📚✨

Ms. Garcia’s class took a deep dive into Point of View during reading time. Our young readers put on their detective hats to figure out who is telling the story and how that changes everything we read.

From 1st-person "I" and "me" to 3rd-person "he," "she," and "they," students practiced stepping into different characters' shoes—discovering that every story has multiple sides! Watching their eyes light up as they unlocked how an author shapes a narrative was the highlight of our day.
