Here is our latest "Discovering the Legend" video featuring an interview with author and historian Joe Pappalardo on his new book "Boom Town: The True Story of the Wickedest Town in Texas". He discusses the corruption in Borger, which ultimately led both Frank Hamer and Tom Hickman to clean up the town.

The Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum honors our veterans and military personnel this Memorial Weekend. Active-duty personnel, retirees and veterans will receive free admission to the Museum while their family will receive discounted admissions (with valid military id or documentation).

Now on display: "Texas America 250" traveling exhibit highlights historically significant Texas Treasures from TSLAC collections, including historical records from the State Archives. Created by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission, these panels explore the story of the Lone Star State over the past 250 years. From Spanish missions to the space race, the landscape, culture, economy, and people of Texas have all played essential roles in the development of the United States. It is on display in Taub Hall through July.
