If you missed the 2026 Kids Expo this year, you missed a treat! There was a huge variety of products and services on display, from nail painting and bracelets to baked goods, window cleaning, and everything in between!

The future of Anson County looks bright with the ambition, creativity, and hard work of these young business owners and entrepreneurs. It was great seeing so many youth turn their ideas into action and showcase what they’ve been working on!

Special shoutout to our six Anson County 4-H’ers who participated, and a HUGE shoutout to Sandy, the Anson County Chamber of Commerce - NC, sponsors, and everyone who helped make this event possible for our youth!

The 2026 Rocky River Youth Livestock Classic for Anson and Stanly counties kicked off tonight with nearly 40 youth participants showcasing their heifers. 🐄🍀

Congratulations to all of our participants on their hard work and a great night in the show ring!

Sr. 4-H Day Camp | Day 3

We wrapped up an amazing week of Sr. 4-H Day Camp! Campers learned how to stay involved in 4-H throughout the year and explored the importance of local government, with several volunteering to speak to local leaders at upcoming Town Council and County Commissioners meetings.

The week ended with lots of fun at Dave & Buster’s! Thanks to all of our campers for a great week. Have a safe and fun rest of the summer. We hope to see you back next year!

Sr. 4-H Summer Camp Day 2!

Can you really call it summer camp if you don’t break a sweat or play in the water? We don’t think so! Today our campers had a great time cooling off at the Greensboro water park.

Great first day of Senior 4-H Day Camp!

Campers kicked things off by learning about the importance of networking through icebreakers, games, and a panel discussion. A special thanks to North Carolina Cooperative Extension- Anson County Director Roshunda Terry, 4-H Youth Promise Director Tracy Harrington, and Summer Intern Kendall Duncan for sharing how building relationships has helped them in college and their careers.

The day ended with some friendly competition and plenty of fun at Topgolf!

🍀 What an incredible week for Anson County 4-H! 🍀

Seven delegates Andrew, Laia, Zoe, Ethan, Alex, Zahria, and Zaylen represented Anson County at NC 4-H Congress in Raleigh, the premier 4-H event of the summer. Throughout the week, they connected with 4-H'ers from across North Carolina, developed leadership skills, served their communities, and had lots of fun.

The week included the opening ceremony, 4-H presentations, leadership workshops, community service, the state officer elections, senior recognition, a tour of the North Carolina Museum of Art, a campus tour of NC State led by Anson 4-H alumna Jahzaria, the Clover Gala, talent showcase, silent disco, dance, moving candlelight ceremony, and many lifelong memories in-between!

Congratulations to all of our delegates for representing Anson County so well. We are incredibly proud of you! 🍀

Congratulations to our Anson County 4-H State Presenters! We are so proud of Andrew, Laia, and Zoe for representing Anson County today at the NC 4-H State Presentations in Raleigh!

All three earned their spot at the state competition after receiving Gold or Silver at the district level. A special congratulations to Laia for competing at the state level in her very first year presenting, and to Zoe Martin for earning a Bronze Medal in the Wheels & Engines category!

Making it to the state level is an incredible accomplishment, and we couldn't be prouder of these outstanding young people. Join us in congratulating Andrew, Laia, and Zoe! 🍀

Registration is open for the 2026 N.C. 4-H Farm Credit Showmanship Circuit! Active North Carolina 4-H'ers are invited to participate in shows, including Anson/Stanly, Cabarrus, Chatham, Cumberland, Lee, Moore/Montgomery, Randolph, Richmond, Robeson, and Union Counties.

Families must register for the Circuit by July 22 at 5:00 p.m. and then register separately for each county show they plan to attend.

The Anson/Stanly show will be Friday, August 14 (heifers) and Saturday, August 15 (goat and sheep)
