If your business or organization experienced financial losses due to the recent countywide water crisis, you may be eligible for disaster assistance through the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
Anson County Emergency Management is collecting information on losses and expenses related to the water main break, including emergency response, repairs, protective measures, and other documented costs.
If you were impacted, please review the available SBA information, complete the appropriate EIDL Worksheet, and submit your documentation as soon as possible.

Today, we proudly congratulate the Wadesboro Fire Department on receiving a $10,000 Storm Response Grant from the Duke Energy Foundation!

This grant comes at a meaningful time following the recent water outage that impacted communities across Anson County. During that challenging period, our first responders worked tirelessly to support residents and help meet critical community needs.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Duke Energy Foundation for investing in the Wadesboro Fire Department and helping strengthen its ability to respond to emergencies and better serve our community during future unexpected events.

Congratulations to the dedicated men of the Wadesboro Fire Department on this well-deserved recognition. Your commitment, resilience, and service to the citizens of Wadesboro and Anson County are deeply appreciated.

🚨 Boil Water Advisory Lifted 🚨

The Town of Wadesboro has officially lifted the Boil Water Advisory for all customers served by the Town's water distribution system.

Water quality testing has confirmed that the water is safe for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, making ice, and all normal household uses. Customers may notice a temporary chlorine taste or odor due to the disinfection process, which is normal and remains within safe drinking water standards.

We sincerely thank our residents, businesses, utility crews, emergency responders, Anson County, state partners, and everyone who helped our community throughout this event.
