A Wadesville fire apparatus was involved in a rollover accident while responding to a structure fire on April 11th. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured. Four firefighters were transported to the hospital for evaluation as a precaution.

Our primary focus remains the health and safety of our personnel. Please keep our firefighters in your thoughts as they recover and as we work to return our apparatus to service.

Training begins at 9:00 AM.

There is no cost for this training unless you need a certification card. If a card is required, it will be available at cost.

The other night WFD had our annual Holiday Party where we recognize our achievements made by our membership. Thanks to everyone at Wadesville Fire Dept and the community for your support.

A new storm siren is being installed at the station today. Testing will be going on from 9-3 to check for proper function.

Posey County burn ban currently in effect.

Its been a little dry here lately, and as a result Posey County is now under a burn ban. This ban will be until futher notice.

Wadesville Fire Department was 1 of 1,000 volunteer fire departments to receive the DripDrop Hydration Giveback Campaign.

For the sixth year, DripDrop has partnered with the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) to provide 200,000 electrolyte sticks to volunteer fire departments to keep responders hydrated during wildfires, summer heat, long incidents, and more. A total of 1,000 volunteer fire departments will receive 2 cases (200 sticks) each of electrolyte powder. Firefighters work in high-heat, high-stress environments while wearing hefty gear and carrying heavy equipment. Without the proper precautions, this can lead to dehydration and heat related injuries. DripDrop is fast, proven hydration that works to replenish lost fluids and electrolytes quickly, so responders can perform at their best, both physically and mentally.
