Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11th, 2001 — the civilians, the first responders, and especially the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice running toward danger so that others could live.

For those of us in the fire service, this day carries a deep and personal weight. It reminds us of the courage, duty, and brotherhood that define our calling. Though the years pass, the legacy of those heroes lives on — in our actions, our service, and our commitment to one another.

Let us never forget their sacrifice. Let us honor them by continuing to serve with integrity, courage, and heart.

We remember. We stand united.

Earlier today at 1615, A Shift responded to a vehicle fire at the Comfort Inn & Suites. Crews quickly extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Officer Phillip Wagner and his family during this incredibly difficult time. This tragic news is a heartbreaking reminder of the dangers faced by those who serve. Now more than ever, all public safety forces must stand united to help put an end to this senseless violence.

This is happening all too often lately.
Today, we mourn the loss of firefighter/paramedic Graham Hoffman from the Kansas City Fire Dept, who was tragically attacked while transporting a patient to the hospital this morning. We are deeply saddened by this news and are reminded once again of how dangerous and selfless this profession can be.
