The Wagner Police Department along with the city of Wagner would like to congratulate one of our own! Officer Chance Garcia graduated today with the 201st class of the South Dakota State Basic Law Enforcement Certification Program. Congratulations Officer Garcia! Time to hit the road and help keep our community safe!

South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley: The 36 members of the 201st class of the State Basic Law Enforcement Certification program graduate Friday. They will join 19 state, local, and tribal law enforcement agencies and will work to protect our citizens.

Good morning, Wagner residents and travelers!

We want to remind everyone about the speed limits on Highway 46.

When traveling westbound, the speed limit does not increase until after the “End Road Work” sign. Please keep your speed at 30 MPH until you pass the sign.

When traveling eastbound, the speed limit decreases to 30 MPH at Wagner Community Church. Speed limit signs are posted to indicate the reduction.

If you or someone you know receives a package with a variation of ‘Dave Garza’ please contact the United States Postal Service to report it. This is a part of an online scam. I will attach an article that explains the packages in greater detail. Please inform your family members that are more susceptible to online scams. Over the past week we have had a string of burglaries throughout the city, from convenience stores to vehicles and everything in between.
We advise you to do your part and please lock your vehicles and out buildings. We also encourage you to call the Police Department if you see something out of the ordinary. Thank you!
