Ballooncamp BALLOONCAMP is where balloonist come to PLAY! A funfilled flying weekend at Ft. Gibson Lake in the beautiful Sequoyah State Park. We really only need two more!

BALLOONCAMP #7 will be August 28 - 30, 2015 at Sequoyah State Park on Fort Gibson Lake. Balloon flights will be Friday evening, Saturday morning, Saturday evening and Sunday morning. Saturday morning BALLOONCAMP BREAKFAST is TBD, depending if we secure the Group Camp. Saturday night after the flight is the BALLOONCAMP BBQ, with music, libations and lots of storytelling! bs…we are taking suggestions. The shirts will have the BALLOONCAMP LOGO on front and the attending balloons on back. If we can get a minimum of 4 A Frames committed we will go back to the Group Camp this year. The cost for each A frame is $200 for the weekend. I will commit to one and Gregg will commit to one. There is a handicap A frame that sleeps 4 and has a bathroom and shower inside. There is also the cook’s quarter that sleeps 4, has a bathroom and shower. They are first come, first served. Other lodging options:
Campgrounds are $12.00 per unit per night for no utilities and $20.00 per unit per night with utilities. Western Hills Lodge has an array of offerings from hotel style rooms with Kings and Queens to Cottages that sleep from 2 – 6, ranging in cost from $95 to $150 per night + tax. For reservations, call (800) 368-1486. If you plan to attend BALLOONCAMP, please let me know. I will forward additional details as they become available. BALLOONCAMP #8 will be August 26 - 28, 2016 at Sequoyah State Park on Fort Gibson Lake.

We will meet at the Group Camp area for weather briefings.

Friday night after flight is on your own. Pizza & Hot Dogs have been the most recent years.
Saturday morning breakfast is TBD.
Saturday night after the flight is the BALLOONCAMP BBQ!!!

If we can get a minimum of 4 A Frames committed we will go back to the Group Camp this year. The cost for each A frame is $200 for the weekend. This is very inexpensive considering they sleep 16 people!
The A frames have 16 bunks. Bring your own bedding. There is an AC that will keep you ice cube cold! The shower house is within a few steps of the A frame.
There is a handicap A frame that sleeps 4 and has a bathroom and shower inside.
There is also the cook’s quarter that sleeps 4, has a bathroom and shower.
They are first come, first served.

If we do not stay at group camp, we will most likely go back to Seminole. This is where we were 2 years ago with the playground and the "SHELTERED" picnic area. It has 50amp and 30amp hookups.

Many a hot air balloon has splashed n dashed on one side, hopped over the bridge for another on the other side. Will be missed. However, looking forward to the new much needed road and bridge.

IT’S GETTING CLOSE NOW ~

Housekeeping time! Please let me know the following as soon as you can.:

1 – Are you coming? (If you are a pilot I need to know yesterday as I am working on design)

2 – How many shirts and sizes? (Need orders by Sunday, August 16, please)

3 – How many meals?

So far, Gregg and I are the only ones getting A frames. We need 2 more in order to make this happen. $200 split between more than 4 is cheaper than the cottages/cabins! The handicap and cook’s quarters only sleep 4 and have their own bathrooms/showers! Both are still up for grabs!

Shirt colors have not been decided. Give me a suggestion…majority rules. If no majority, I get to pick….how does NEON PINK sound? Please help me! Blue Skies ~ KELLI

Big thanx to everyone who joined us for Ballooncamp this year! Beginning with the going away party for Frank & Cheri, to the ice cream truck, the horse & bicycle rides, the excellent BBQ Saturday, to the sporty flight Sunday morning, we all had a great time. Hope too see you next year!

I have a count of 55. This count includes Sturge for 8 and Philpott for 5, Kellers for 9, and OTHERS for 33.
PHILPOTT - Hot Dogs - (Donna - Cobbler?????)
STURGE - Buns
KELLERS - Relish, Plates, Paper Towels, Utensils
OTHERS - sides & their own drinks

BREAKFAST:
STURGE - Bacon/Sausage 2 gal OJ

Who's bringing what to BalloonCamp 2013?
We're bringing an appetite for excitement and a thirst for renewed friendships.
We'll also bring "Auspicious", and maybe "Gifted" if we can get two trailers down there.
Oh, and we're bringing hot dogs for Friday night. So Donna needs to know about how many to expect at dinner that evening. (Last year we brought a lot home and I ate hot dogs for months. LOL)
