Sequoyah Bay State Park

Sequoyah Bay State Park Sequoyah Bay State Park is set among the oak-hickory woodlands of northeastern Oklahoma, along the western shores of Fort Gibson Lake.

The charming park has plentiful RV and tent campsites -- some with lakeside views. Visitors can also enjoy cabins, a swim beach, a full-service marina, hiking trails, a playground and a sports area with a basketball court, volleyball net and ballfield. Quiet hours are from 11pm to 7am. The gate closes from 10pm to 7am with departing traffic permitted 24 hours a day.

A little rain, and more to come -- the burn ban for Cherokee & Wagoner County have been lifted.

Fires are permitted once again in fire rings. Please continue to practice fire safety when making campfires or grilling in the park.

BURN BAN LIFTED 3/3/26

Wagoner & Cherokee County have declared a burn ban that goes into effect for Sequoyah State Park and Sequoyah Bay State Park.

- No Campfires
- Gas grills are permitted.
- Charcoal grills and smokers may be used only if they are attended, placed on at least a 10-by-10-foot concrete surface, and have water readily available.

We’re pumped to announce our second year partnering with the Rib Cook Off Association, and this one is coming in smokin’ hot!

👉 Friday night brings the heat with a Double Wing Ancillary—plus CASH PRIZES for 1st–10th place and trophies for our top wing slingers.

👉 Saturday starts right with a FREE cooks’ breakfast (tips appreciated "it's for the kids"), then it’s full-throttle BBQ fun all day long. Our Double Rib Cook kicks off with a St. Louis–style, NO SAUCE rib turn-in (let that meat speak for itself 🔥). Rib Two is Baby Backs, so bring your best flavor game!

🏆 Awards follow judging, with CASH PRIZES for places 1–10 and trophies for our top rib masters.
