The Wagoner County Clerk's Office will close at noon on Thursday, April 2, 2026 to accommodate cutover to a new fiber internet connection in an effort to provide more reliable service to the public. The clerk's office has experienced frequent service outages to the Land Records Website. This new fiber connection will provide a more reliable connection for the Land Records website as well as the ability to file documents electronically. This switch will require a hard cutover which will mean service must be suspended for a short period of time.

This cutover has been scheduled beginning at noon on Thursday. It is anticipated that service will be restored and available by 5pm that day. Because there will be no internet service for staff, and no ability to conduct business, the office will close during this time.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but look forward to being able to provide more reliable service to the public in the future.

Thank you for your patience.

Warming Shelter To Open in Coweta

Wagoner County Emergency Management is partnering with Crosspoint Baptist Church in Coweta to open a warming shelter beginning Friday, 01/23/2026, at 6:00 p.m. and remain open through the weekend. Located at 28288 E. 141st Street in Coweta, OK., the church will be available and open if needed. Pastor Brett Wheeler said he feels God has provided such a great building for the needs of the community and wanted to step up again to provide a safe, warm location for those in Wagoner County who might not have adequate heating during this cold weather event. Church volunteers will staff the shelter along with WCEM volunteers. The shelter will provide warm meals, cots with blankets, showers, and a place for comfort in the severe cold weather. Pastor Brett said the shelter will implement guidelines for those choosing to stay and everyone will review the guidelines upon check in. The shelter will have men and women volunteers on site and will only allow one individual in the bathroom at a time. There will be no Wi-Fi available, and the shelter will be patrolled by WCEM staff and the Coweta Police Department on a regular basis. Meals will be distributed during regular mealtimes and there will be a โ€œlights outโ€ policy in place. โ€œWe want our guests to feel the love and warmth of their community and the church during this severe cold weather,โ€ said Pastor Brett. For more information contact Pastor Brett Wheeler at 918-605-6494, Patty Martin at 918-760-9000, or Beverly Denton at 918-706-5144.
