We wanted to send the following information out in emails to all candidates that will have races in Wagoner County precincts. Unfortunately, the file sizes are to large, so we are sharing here instead.

Dear Candidate,

As we prepare for the upcoming election, the Wagoner County Election Board wanted to provide you with information regarding Election Day campaign sign placement and electioneering laws.

Overall, Wagoner County experiences very few issues on Election Day, and we appreciate the cooperation candidates, volunteers, and supporters consistently show toward our precinct officials and voters. One of the more common challenges we do face, however, is inappropriate campaign sign placement at polling locations. This is an issue experienced by Election Boards across the state, and often occurs simply because supporters may not be familiar with Oklahoma electioneering laws.

Under Oklahoma law, campaign signs and campaigning are prohibited within 300 feet of the ballot box on Election Day, and Early Voting Days. Please note that this distance is measured from the ballot box itself, not from the roadway, parking lot entrance, or building entrance.

To help candidates and supporters better understand these restrictions, the Wagoner County Election Board is providing:
• A list of precincts affected by your race. Go to the following post (https://www.facebook.com/share/p/16rcTL5ZEu/). We can also email this information.
• "It's a CRIME sign" That shows campaign materials that are not allowed.
• Maps showing the 300 foot electioneering boundary at Wagoner County Polling Locations, and Early Voting Sites. These particular maps are an approximate distance from the front door of our polling locations.

In an effort to further educate the public and reduce confusion on Election Day, these maps are also being shared publicly through our page. Our goal is simply to help ensure a smooth and orderly voting process for voters, candidates, and precinct officials alike.

We encourage you to share this information with your campaign staff, volunteers, and supporters prior to Election Day to help avoid any issues regarding sign placement.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Wagoner County Election Board office. We appreciate your cooperation and your commitment to the election process.

Sincerely,

Wagoner County Election Board

VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE APPROACHES

May 22, 2026, is the last day to apply for voter registration to be eligible to vote in the June 16, 2026 Federal, State, and County Primary Election, Wagoner County Election Board Secretary Samantha Call said today.

Call said that persons who are United States Citizens, residents of Oklahoma, and at least 17 ½ years old are eligible to apply for voter registration. However, you must be at least 18 years old to vote.

Applications must be received by the County Election Board or postmarked no later than midnight, May 22, 2026. Applications postmarked after that time will be accepted but will not be processed until after the June 16, 2026 Primary Election. Applications may also be submitted to any motor vehicle agency that is also an official voter registration agency by the submission deadline.

Applicants will be notified in writing when their application has been processed. Approved voters will receive a Voter Identification Card in the mail. Some may receive a letter explaining the reason(s) the application could not be approved. Call said those who do not receive a response within 30 days of submitting their application should contact the County Election Board office immediately.

The Wagoner County Election Board reminds voters that applications must be approved by the Secretary of the County Election Board to vote.

Registered voters who have moved to Wagoner County from a different county or state will need to complete and submit a new Voter Registration Application to update their voter registration. New applicants may register to vote using the OK Voter Portal’s Online Voter Registration System at oklahoma.gov/elections/ovp. (A current and valid Oklahoma Driver License or State ID is required for online registration.) Voter Registration Applications can also be download from the State Election Board website at oklahoma.gov/elections or obtained from your County Election Board. Applications are also available at most tag agencies, post offices and public libraries.

If you have moved within the county and need to update your address, you may make changes online using the OK Voter Portal or complete a paper Voter Registration Application.

The Wagoner County Election Board is located at 208 N Lee Ave, Wagoner, OK 74467 and is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
