Please join us in welcoming Avery Underwood to Wagoner County Emergency Management as our new Operations Manager!

Avery brings over four years of dedicated service to Wagoner County, with a proven track record of dedication, including promotion to Captain on February 5, 2025. Throughout this time, Avery has demonstrated a strong commitment to both the mission of emergency management and the people who make it possible.

What stands out most to Avery is the team—describing colleagues as family—and the meaningful opportunity to serve the community through public safety and outreach. In the first 90 days, Avery plans to focus on expanding training opportunities across county departments to strengthen unified response efforts, while also mentoring and sharing knowledge with those interested in volunteering.

Outside of work, Avery enjoys spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, as well as making memories with family and friends.

We’re glad to have Avery step into this leadership role and look forward to the continued impact on Wagoner County.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY OFFICE CLOSURE. The Wagoner County Assessor's Office will close at noon on Friday, May 1st, 2026, to complete a scheduled upgrade to our fiber connection. We will resume normal business operations on Monday, May 4th, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work to enhance our services to the public.

Important notice. Please be advised that the Wagoner County Clerk's office will close early at 12:00 PM on Thursday, April 2.

The Wagoner County Clerk's Office will close at noon on Thursday, April 2, 2026 to accommodate cutover to a new fiber internet connection in an effort to provide more reliable service to the public. The clerk's office has experienced frequent service outages to the Land Records Website. This new fiber connection will provide a more reliable connection for the Land Records website as well as the ability to file documents electronically. This switch will require a hard cutover which will mean service must be suspended for a short period of time.

This cutover has been scheduled beginning at noon on Thursday. It is anticipated that service will be restored and available by 5pm that day. Because there will be no internet service for staff, and no ability to conduct business, the office will close during this time.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but look forward to being able to provide more reliable service to the public in the future.

Roll up your sleeves to donate blood at the Wagoner County Schools Blood Drive Challenge in Coweta on Saturday, March 28 and you can help Coweta Public Schools, Wagoner Public Schools, Porter Schools and Okay High School earn points to win cash prizes. The Our Blood Institute blood drive will be held in conjunction with the Wagoner County Emergency Preparedness Expo presented by TTCU Federal Credit Union.

Donors will receive their choice of a "More Than Ice In Our Veins" basketball themed t-shirt or a Route 66 themed t-shirt. Remember to bring a photo ID with you to donate!
