City of Wagoner - Municipality

City of Wagoner - Municipality • Location, Location, Location - Our city is on the western edge of the Ozarks. An easy drive to Tulsa International Airport. Easy access to the Robert S.

The rural setting and Fort Gibson Lake provide outdoor activities for all ages and interests. We are on the shore of the 22,000 acre lake with over 225 miles of shoreline.

• Transportation - Intersection of two major highways (Hwy 51 & Hwy 69), 30 minutes to the Tulsa area and 15 minutes to Muskogee, all by four lane highways. Kerr navigation channel and Arkansas River.

• City Airport - Paved

, lighted 3,405 foot runway located 2 miles east of the city.

• Water Supply - Our source is Ft. Gibson Lake. A new, state-of-the-art water plant capable of 6 million gallons per day. This should provide adequate water for the next 30+ years.

• Electricity - Grand River Dam Authority (GRDA) supplies electricity to our city owned distribution grid. By buying wholesale and distributing over our own facilities we are able to keep prices low.

• Faith - With over thirty churches in the city there are ample opportunities to meet other members of the community and become involved with volunteer work.

• Recreation - A sports complex with 6 soccer and 6 ball fields has been built around the city park. A large water park, with chutes, slides, kiddie pool and diving boards is open during the summer months.

• Low Cost of Living - Low utility rates, property and sales taxes results in a cost of living index of 87.4 compared to the US average of 100.

• Industrial Parks - We have two Industrial Parks. We proactively recruit not just industry, but retail business as well.

• Hospital - The Wagoner Community Hospital serves the city and surrounding area.

• Ambulance Service -The city maintains two fully equipped and staffed ambulances 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The service for our citizens is paid for by a portion of the utility bill. Non-residents can participate for a small monthly fee.

• Families - A great place to raise a family. Outdoor recreation activities and a school system that strives for academic excellence with a healthy balance of competitiveness in all sports.
