HHC, 130th Engineer Brigade

HHC, 130th Engineer Brigade The 130th Engineer Brigade was originally constituted in the U.S. The regiment was deactivated on July 8, 1955 and its elements allocated to the regular Army.

Army as the 1303rd Engineer General Services Regiment and activated on July 15, 1943 at camp Ellis, Illinois. The regiment played an important role in World War II with campaign credits

for Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes-Alsace, Central Europe and Asian-Pacific Theatre. It was redesignated as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 130th Aviation Brigade in Japan and subsequently deactivated on June 25, 1956. On June 16, 1969, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 130th Aviation Brigade was redesignated as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 130th Engineer Brigade and activated in Hanau, Germany. The brigade said good-bye to Hanau with a casing of the colors ceremony on Pioneer Kaserne on May 4, 2007, thus ending almost 38 years of service in Germany. The brigade became part of the U.S. Army Pacific on June 16, 2007. The 130th Engineer Brigade (Provisional) uncased is colors as Schofield Barracks, Hawaii on 23 October 2008. The brigade began its last deployment in Mosul Iraq on 17 July, 2009, taking command and control of construction projects in the northern portion of Iraq. The brigade returned to Schofield Barracks, Hawaii on June 4th 2009.
