988 DAY is September 8th, 2026.

988 Day is a national initiative to raise awareness about the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline and the importance of mental health and su***de prevention.

September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month, making it an important time to remind our community that support is available.

The 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline is a free, confidential resource available 24/7. Call or text 988 to connect with trained support for mental health concerns, emotional distress, or thoughts of su***de.

This year’s theme is “988 Reasons: Your reason is reason enough.” You don’t have to be in crisis to reach out. Whatever you’re facing, big or small, your reason for seeking support is reason enough.

📅 On September 8 at 9:08 a.m., communities across the country will come together to spread awareness about 988 and remind others that help is available.

📱 Call or text 988 anytime, 24/7.

🎒 Back-to-school can be an exciting time, but it can also bring stress, anxiety, and big emotions.

As kids settle into the school year, small moments of connection and support can make a big difference.

Take a few minutes to check in, listen, and remind your child that they don't have to handle things alone.

The end of an era --> the beginning of a new one!🥳

We want to thank Shawna Anderson for all of the amazing work she has done for youth & families across Saunders County. We are sad to see her go, but excited for her as she heads out on her next adventure and returns to healthcare at SMC! 🩺😷

AND we are excited to welcome Kristin Anderson! (No, they are not related.😅) We can't wait for the fresh perspective and new ideas she'll bring as we start this new chapter. 📖

Good luck, Shawna, and, welcome, Kristin! 🩷

Be a mentor today!

Right now, 🔟 students in Wahoo are waiting for a caring adult mentor. They aren't looking for someone extraordinary. They're simply waiting for someone willing to show up, listen, encourage, and be a consistent presence in their lives.

If you've ever thought about becoming a mentor, now is the perfect time to apply and train so you’re ready to meet after Labor Day!

Mentoring through TeamMates requires just 30–40 minutes each week during the school day, but the impact can last a lifetime.
