UPDATE:
After what can only be described as the most entertaining community investigation of 2026, the archives (and Facebook comment section detectives) have spoken…

The correct answer was: LITTLE AMSTERDAM — aka “The LA” — and YES… it was an arcade/teen hangout next to Casey’s in Breckenridge. 🎮🍕

In less than 24 hours we uncovered:
• teen dances with DJs
• pinball machines and arcade games
• multiple pizza places
• a bowling alley debate that nearly divided the town
• breakfast nostalgia at Down Home Steakhouse
• a mysterious Mexican restaurant closure
• ANNE’S SHOEBOX MEMORY UNLOCKS 👟
• and at least 47 different people saying “WAIT I REMEMBER THIS NOW”

Also… finding out the owner was Lance Christianson and the infamous pool-ball-bandit dog ACTUALLY EXISTED may have been the greatest plot twist of all time.

Okay but the fact that the Chamber office turned into a full-blown FBI investigation over ONE old business location today is absolutely sending us. 😂

Here’s what we think we uncovered:
• The owner may have been Mike… or maybe the DOG was Mike?
• Said dog allegedly wore a bandana 24/7 and specialized in stealing pool balls.
• Someone’s mom was in high school when it was open.
• It might have been a bar in 87?
• At one point we had THREE people yelling different years across the office.
• And honestly? We left with more questions than answers.

This is the kind of hard-hitting investigative journalism your Chamber is out here doing for our members. 🕵️‍♀️💼

So now we need to know… WHO REMEMBERS THIS PLACE?! Drop your guesses, memories, lore, conspiracy theories, or confirmation that the dog was in fact named Mike below. 👇😂

Community pride is looking a little greener again 🌿🏡 Yard of the Week is officially BACK for the season… but this year we’re doing things a little differently because we heard you loud and clear! 👀

For the first time ever, community members can now submit nominations for Yard of the Week! Know a home with beautiful flowers, stunning landscaping, a perfectly manicured lawn, or curb appeal that deserves a little extra love? Send those nominations our way! 💚

Each week, the TTA & COC will review submissions and select a winning yard, with the official Yard of the Week sign placed out every Monday all summer long! 🌼✨

This is such a fun way to celebrate the homeowners who help keep our Twin Towns looking beautiful, welcoming, and full of hometown pride.

After last year’s Borderline Chalkfest, we kept hearing the same thing from community members: “How can we help support this festival?” And truthfully… you were right. This festival belongs to all of us. It’s the families filling downtown, the kids covered in chalk dust, the music, the laughter, the artists traveling here from around the world, the color run chaos, the food trucks, the memories, and that feeling of pure summer magic that takes over the Twin Towns every July. 🌈☀️

🎨 We’re trying something new this year, Twin Towns! 🎨

So this year, for the very first time, we are officially opening up community donations to Borderline Chalkfest!

If this festival has ever made you smile, inspired your kids, brought you downtown for the weekend, or made you proud of this community, this is your chance to help keep the magic going. Every donation — big or small — helps us continue bringing this FREE event back year after year, bigger, brighter, and more colorful than ever.

At the end of the day, Borderline Chalkfest only works because of this incredible community behind it… and we are so grateful for every single one of you. 💛
