Do you know a young woman interested in firefighting or emergency services? Now is her chance to experience it firsthand. Camp Ignite is a (free) week-long camp for rising 9th–12th grade girls who are curious about what it’s like to serve in the fire service. Throughout the week, participants will train alongside female firefighters, learn essential skills, and experience the teamwork, dedication, and confidence that come with the job.📅

NWFD Fall festival 2025

This Saturday is our fall festival. Our juniors will be running a special kid zone for all our little visitors, letting them try on our gear, run a modified agility test and use the actual fire hose to spray water. Hope you will come out and join us and bring your friends!

Our Fall Festival is quickly approaching! You will be able to visit the pumpkin patch, shop with our local vendors, and enjoy public safety day with the fire department. We look forward to seeing you on the 18th!

Our juniors were busy this morning getting the pumpkins unloaded and ready to sell! Some of the fundraising money goes to support our junior firefighters as they train and compete throughout the year! They are ready to help load these pumpkins in your car to send them home with you!

We want to give a big shoutout to every team who joined us for this year’s 4th Annual Alamance County Junior Firefighter Competition yesterday!

Each of these juniors showed up with 110% effort, enthusiasm, incredible skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. You all represented your departments with pride and made this year’s competition one to remember.

We are so grateful you made the trip to be here, and we hope to see you back again next year for another amazing competition!

Senior celebration #2: Today we celebrate JrFF Geoffrey as he graduates today! 4 years ago he hit the ground running as a part of the department. He could be found up at the station washing trucks, pulling duty and taking fire/EMS classes. He has been a big asset to our competition teams and helped lead the inaugural FL competition team to a top 3 victory. Geoffrey, you have grown so much over your time with us, both in fire knowledge and leadership. We can’t wait to see what lies ahead as you go to Appalachian State and make a difference in that community as a volunteer firefighter!

Senior celebration #1: Today we celebrate JrFF Preston as he graduates today! He has been a part of our department over the last 4 years and we have gotten to watch him grow in his firefighting skills but also in leadership and maturity. We could always count on him to help teach our younger members. Preston, it has been a pleasure watching you make a difference in the junior program, at Northern Wake fire department, and in the community we serve. We can’t wait to see what lies ahead of you in your fire career!
