Families came in today to explore the past, with their student, and discover how it shaped the world! Our 7th grade track 1 students demonstrated their learning through a Museum Showcase. Their compelling question: How do ideas, innovations, and inventions contribute to the transformation of civilizations? Students researched their topics, developed written and visual components, created artifacts, and then became the resident experts, confidently explaining their work and demonstrating a true depth of understanding when asked questions. 🔭🖨️ 📚 👓🌝🌎

Their presentation skills were impressive, and it was clear this was learning at a higher level, not just completing a project, but truly owning the content. 🗣️ Thank you, Mrs. Kasse!!!

Our 7th grade track 1 Patriots put their learning into action during a Physics Carnival 🎪 applying what they’ve learned about forces, motion, and the interactions that make things move. Students demonstrated their understanding through hands-on challenges that required them to predict, test, observe, and explain the science behind what happened.

Even better, our parents and families joined in on the learning! 🧲🏎️⚖️ It was awesome to see students become the experts and invite their families to experience the challenges alongside them.

Wear your HMS colors today as we show school spirit for the election of Student Council leaders. Could not be more proud of these students for creative posters and campaigning announcements over the intercom for all to hear! The sportsmanship of these kids have been beyond impressive! For example, candidate said, "Regardless of who wins, we should all be proud of ourselves!" (Could not have said it any better!!!🥰) Good luck!
