Warm Clothing Drive

I'd like to thank everybody that has donated so far. Our first truck load of stuff was distributed directly to individuals in need of them at Kennedy Plaza. The entire truckload was gone within 15 minutes. The people were very appreciative. So, once again, thank you all very much.

One thing that we found (and assumed) while we were up there are that socks are in very high demand. We brought maybe 15-20 2 packs of wool socks and they were gone within a minute. So, if there are any remaining coats, hats, gloves, hoodies or other winter items you are still holding onto, we'd love to take them off your hands. We are going to make one final trip up there next week. My objective is to bring as many socks as possible during that trip. With that in mind, donations to our gofundme campaign would be extra helpful right now. All donations will go towards socks to bring up there with our final load of winter items.

Once again, thank you to all that have already donated. I'd love it if we could all make one more push and try to get some socks to some people who really need them!

Just a reminder to everyone that there there is no hard cutoff date for donations. We will be taking the first truckload up shortly after Christmas but before new years, but we will also be delivering in the first and second week of January as well. So, just a friendly reminder that even after Christmas comes and goes we will still be collecting goods/accepting donations.

Thank you to our friends at DM Detailing, LLC for donating a jacket and $40 gift card!

For those of you that don't know, Ocean State Job Lot has a program where you can buy a jacket for $40 that will be given to a veteran in need. They then give you a $40 gift card in return that you can use at the store. An excellent way to help some folks. Send us a DM if you'd like to arrange a donation drop off or visit the gofundme and we'll take care of getting some items for you!

Hello there everyone! I have created this page because this is the easiest way to spread this message across a larger audience.

So, here' goes: The cold weather is upon us so we've decided to create this page to try to organize a warm clothing drive. We are looking for items like socks, gloves, winter hats, hand warmers, sweat pants/shirts, blankets, jackets, etc. We are accepting both used and new. If you have any items laying around you could donate or you can pick up a few things while you are out finishing up your shopping we (and the people that receive them) would greatly appreciate it!

We are accepting donations in person, so DM us to drop off. We also have a donation box set up at Growin' Crazy in Wyoming, Rhode Island. I hope to have a couple other ways to accept drop offs in the near future.

I have also set up a gofundme campaign. I have set that up as a way to allow people to donate to the drive without meeting me directly and donating physical goods. Any funds raised by the gofundme campaign will be spent at local businesses on the previously mentioned items. The link is listed below:

These items will be distributed directly to the people who are in need of them. There is no time limit or deadline that you have to have your donations in by, but we will be distributing them primarily towards the end of December and again in early January. Any items that are left over will be donated to a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the less fortunate.
