This simple act creates a meaningful symbol of remembrance and unity—honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to others.

In 2025, the members of the Union Fire District proudly responded to 1,539 calls for service in our community.

Every call represents a neighbor in need. We are grateful for the continued trust and support of our community and proud of the dedication and professionalism shown by our firefighters throughout the year.

Matunuck Fire Department members Deputy Chief Andrew Duckworth and Captain Glenn Allbee were able to attend the Congregational Fire Service Institute’s 35th Annual Fire and Emergency Services Symposium & Dinner alongside Deputy Chief Cinquegrana and Wardens Manzo and Collinson to be part of Retired Deputy Chief Kevin Quinn recieving the Mason Lankford Fire Service Leadership Award. We thank Chief Steven Pinch and the UFD board of wardens for the honor to attend the CFSI conference and to represent UFD on the national stage.
