On Thursday, May 21, a deserving recipient received a refurbished vehicle through Second Chance Cars, an organization that helps provide affordable transportation to individuals entering the workforce. Since 2020, Northeast’s Auto Collision and Auto Tech programs have partnered with Second Chance Cars to support community members in need. Students inspect and repair mechanical systems, restore bodywork, and complete full detailing to prepare each vehicle for donation. This partnership provides valuable hands-on experience for students while making a meaningful impact in the community.

Drafting & Design Seniors Complete Residential Design Project:
Seniors in Drafting & Design recently completed a residential design project focused on client-led design, emphasizing the needs and lifestyle of a client. Students rolled dice to determine key elements of a home, including atmosphere, layout, architectural features, and special requests, and were then assigned a detailed client profile. Using these profiles, students designed custom homes tailored to their client’s vision, balancing creativity with practical problem-solving while considering how design can support daily life and reflect individual identity.
