Today Dr. Hanron’s and Mr. Dettorre’s astronomy students took part in the Dark Sky Virtual Classroom with Voyageurs Conservancy, where they explored the science behind the northern lights, the growing issue of light pollution, and cultural connections to the night sky.
With help from our school library’s Zoom Room setup, we were able to connect live with a Conservancy educator and bring this experience directly to our students.
A big thank you to Voyageurs Conservancy for an engaging and inspiring look at the wonders and Challenges of our night skies.
