Wakefield Care and Rehab is partnering with Meals on Wheels to the community! If you wish to receive meals, please call the Meals on Wheels number 785-632-5767 Monday through Friday between 8:30am to 2:00p.

Cool and cloudy conditions continue for the first part of Memorial Day weekend. We'll also see a few more rounds of scattered light showers, with a few thunderstorms possible Friday PM. Rain and clouds then depart, bringing in warmer temperatures for Sunday and Memorial Day!

The Bike Safety Clinic Wakefield School - USD 379 was wheelie fun and a huge success yesterday! 🚲

Chief Werbin, Superintendent Kyle, and PW Tech Jeremy talked with students about bike safety around town, answered approximately 9,372 questions (give or take 😄), discussed the new Ordinance 1365 regarding Electronic Transportation Devices in Public Parks, and then invited students who rode their bikes to school to test their skills on the bike course!

The kids learned, rode, laughed, and proved they definitely know how to keep the adults on their toes.

A big thank you to Wakefield PD and the City of Wakefield for helping keep our community safe, one bike ride at a time! 🚴
