About Welcome House of South County

Formerly South County Emergency Shelter, Welcome House of South County was developed in 1986 as a night to night shelter in church basements throughout Washington County. In 1989 the current building was purchased and rehabbed and Welcome House started taking its first overnight guests at the present address, 8 North Road. Welcome House is governed by a Board o

f Directors who meet 11 times a year. We have space for 17 single men and women, one of these beds is handicap accessible, as is the building. Additionally, we have 7 family units of supported permanent housing for families, 15 units for individuals in supported permanent and/or transitional housing.
