One of our major services is providing clothing for families and individuals in need in our community, free of charge.

We currently have a huge need for Girls Clothing Sizes 5-16 as well as Towels, Washcloths, Sheets, Blankets and Bras.

Donations can be dropped off on our preferred donation days of Tuesday or Wednesday 9am-2pm. If these days do not work for you, please call our office and we can make other accommodations.

For our 2026 School Supplies Project we were joined by the Charles County Arts Alliance and Chick-fil-A La Plata.

The Charles County Arts Alliance has supported the School Supplies Project by donating hundreds of art boxes to the program each year. This year we were excited to have them at the event to hand the art boxes out directly to families with elementary school students.

The Chick-fil-A of LaPlata of course brought out the Chick-fil-A Cow to greet students and parents! They also donated nuggets to our volunteers who assisted at Saturdays distribution.

We were blessed to receive many donations for our 2026 School Supplies Project!

We thank every individual, business, church and organization that supported our efforts to provide children a book bag filled with school supplies for the 26/27 school year.

We couldn’t have done it without you all!!

We did not get a picture of every donor/donation but wanted to share two we did get. One is a donation of 50 filled book bags from ChasenBoscolo Injury Lawyers and the second is a donation of one FULL trash can worth of school supplies from WM - Waste Management.

Another day another shout out!
This time to the St. Charles High School Football team! 🏈🎒📓
On Friday, August 14th a group of roughly 30 players and coaches volunteered their time to pack all of our book bags for our annual School Supplies Project.
To watch as these students work together in a professional and fun way was amazing!
We are grateful for their continued support and wish them a great school year and season!

We have to shout out the men and women of the Charles County Sheriff's Office School Resource Unit for once again lending their time, and muscles, to our annual School Supplies Project.

On Thursday, August 13th they loaded book bags, school supplies and tables onto a U-Haul truck and then unloaded the truck at our distribution site, New Life Church.

Without their support this task would have taken all day, but they managed to get it completed in about two hours!

The goal of our School Supplies Project is to provide up to 1500 filled book bags to children attending Charles County Public School or being homeschooled in the county.
