This is how my weekend went.

One door. One conversation. One yard sign at a time.

Building this campaign the same way I’ve built my career in public service—by showing up, doing the work, and earning trust.

Let’s keep going. 💙

My verified track record speaks for itself.

While some candidates are talking about what they’ll do, I’ve spent my career delivering results.

💙Expanded healthcare access for uninsured and underinsured families.

💛Helped reduce school-based arrests by 50%, disrupting the school-to-prison pipeline.

💙Led efforts that helped trafficked youth receive services instead of criminal sentences.

💛Improved attendance and academic performance for at-risk youth.

💙Helped obtain rent caps for seniors, allowing residents to remain in their homes.

💛Built coalitions that brought public safety resources directly into District 9 neighborhoods.

That’s a proven record of service and results!

Get Vote Ready with us!

This community event was all about voter education, voter registration, and making sure residents have the information they need to make their voices heard.

And yes… I may have picked up a few new supporters along the way. 😉💙

Early Voting begins June 11. Make a plan. Bring a friend. Vote.

Yesterday was a great day in community… until it wasn’t!

As I talked with residents, I was surprised by how many Black men—both Baby Boomers and Gen Z—told me they weren’t planning to vote. Even when we talked about what’s at stake and how decisions made today will impact our families, neighborhoods, and future, many had simply checked out of the process.

That stayed with me.

How did we get to a place where so many feel their voice doesn’t matter?

I know how we got here.

We get here when people lose hope that government will work for them.

We get here when we’ve given people reasons to believe that all government is corrupt.

We get here when politicians show up asking for votes but never come back to carry the voices of the community into the rooms where decisions are made.

When that happens, people stop believing their vote matters.

I’m committed to helping us reclaim our power. Voting is more than a right—it is our voice, our influence, and our opportunity to shape what comes next.

That’s why we’re out this morning doing voter registration and voter education. Every voice matters. Every vote matters.

Let’s make sure our community is heard.

I’ve always believed our young people deserve pathways, not pipelines. That means investing in intervention, mentorship, accountability, and opportunity before lives are derailed. Stronger communities start with investing in our youth.

There’s something powerful about neighbors coming together.

No stage. No big production. Just community, conversation, laughter, and people taking time to connect with one another.

This is what leadership should feel like — present, accessible, and rooted in the people.

Grateful for everyone who came out tonight. District 9 deserves leadership that shows up. 💙💛

I’ve always said that our seniors are the gems of our community. So when it came to protecting them, I took it personally. I didn’t just talk about protecting seniors — I did the work. From advocacy to accountability, I helped turn community pressure into real action for residents facing displacement.

That’s what experience looks like. 💙💛

It’s Small Business Month, and I was so excited to spend time with my friend at Whitt’s Farm learning how to make strawberry jam from scratch! 🍓

Moments like this remind us that agritourism in District 9 matters. Our farms, markets, and family-owned businesses are part of the heart of our community — creating memories, supporting local families, and preserving the rich character of Southern Prince George’s County.

Let’s keep supporting the small businesses that make District 9 special.

Today I visited the Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery in District 9, the rows of flags served as a powerful reminder that freedom has always carried a cost.

As we honor those who served and sacrificed, may we also recommit ourselves to building communities worthy of that sacrifice — communities rooted in dignity, service, accountability, and care for one another.

Grateful for the opportunity to stand alongside veterans, leaders, and neighbors in remembrance today. 🇺🇸
