🎉🎉 HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our one‑and‑only Bingo Caller, Erich “no N’s” Knudson! 🎉🎉

Today we honor the man who can turn a quiet room into a full‑blown sporting event just by yelling “G‑52!”

But today? Today belongs to the most powerful number in his universe:
✨ I‑22 ✨
Because nothing, and I mean nothing, gets the crowd fired up like when Erich hits that mic and drops the legendary…
“I… TWENTY‑TWO!” (twoo, twoo)
The room goes wild. People clutch their daubers like it’s the Super Bowl. Someone in the back always screams. It’s magic.

Let’s be real:
- No one calls numbers with more flair
- No one avoids the letter N with more commitment (or not😏)
-And he has personally caused more emotional rollercoasters than Disneyland

So here’s to you, Erich, may your birthday be as iconic as I‑22, as loud as a full Bingo hall, and as unforgettable as your mic‑drop moments.

💥 Happy Birthday, you Bingo‑calling legend. 💥
We’re lucky to have you keeping the chaos fun and the numbers spicy.

🎓🔥 Celebrating Our 2026 Youth Scholarship Recipients! 🔥🎓

This Friday evening. right before our monthly Central Coast Fire & Rescue Volunteer Association Bingo, we had the honor of awarding two $1,000 youth scholarships to outstanding local students.

Association President Charles Lesiecki, Treasurer Captain Erich Knudson, and Bingo Coordinator Wendy Rush proudly presented scholarships to Miley Gunderlock and Isabella Rosati.

We received five impressive applications, and these two rose to the top based on academics and merit. Their hard work, dedication, and community spirit truly stood out.

A huge thank‑you to our incredible community. those who donate, those who show up month after month, and those who make Bingo such a success. Bingo is our primary fundraiser for this scholarship, and your support directly helps local youth pursue their goals.

Congratulations, Miley and Isabella! Your fire family is cheering you on every step of the way. ❤️🔥

🌟 Help Us Invest in Our Local Youth! 🌟

Our community has an incredible opportunity to come together and directly support the future of our local youth through our Scholarship Program, and we’d love for you to be part of it.

Each year, funds raised through our monthly Bingo Nights (third Friday, February–October) go directly toward scholarships that help young people pursue meaningful opportunities, like summer camps, travel experiences, college, trade school, and more.

❤️🔥 Happy Mother’s Day from Central Coast Fire & Rescue! 🔥❤️

Today we celebrate the moms who hold our community together, those who raised first responders, those who are first responders, and those who support our crews from home with endless strength, patience, and love.

To the moms who pack lunches after sleepless nights, who understand when duty calls at the worst possible moment, who cheer on our volunteers, who show up to events, who lead with compassion, and who teach the next generation what service truly looks like, we see you, we appreciate you, and we are grateful for you.

And to the mothers within our fire family, our firefighters, EMTs, volunteers, admin staff, and support crews, thank you for balancing two of the toughest jobs out there: being a mom and serving your community. Your dedication inspires us every day.

Wishing all the incredible moms across our district a day filled with love, rest, and the recognition you deserve.
From our fire family to yours, Happy Mother’s Day. ❤️

🔥 CERT Basic Class: Two Weekends of Learning, Lifting, Laughing… and Yes, Real Fire 🔥

Over the last two weekends, our newest CERT trainees from all around the county have been soaking up skills faster than a sponge in a flood. They learned how to assess patients, organize chaos, lift heavy things without lifting each other’s backs out of alignment, and generally become the kind of neighbors you definitely want around when things go sideways.

A couple of our own Central Coast Fire volunteers jumped in to teach first aid and medical triage, medical assessments, and how to stay calm when everyone else is loudly not calm. And then came the moment everyone secretly waits for…

The fire extinguisher lab.
Yes, they got to put out an actual fire.
Yes, it was under the very watchful eye of Captain Knudson, who made sure the flames behaved and the students didn’t roast their eyebrows off.
And yes, everyone walked away feeling like a superhero with a red canister.

They also tackled light search and rescue, cribbing, disaster prep, teamwork, and all the “organized chaos” that CERT is famous for. Today’s final disaster simulation tied it all together, fake victims, real pressure, and a whole lot of “Wait, where’s my triage tape?”

Why does all this matter?
Because when a disaster or mass‑casualty incident hits, CERT members are the calm, capable, community‑powered force that helps keep things moving. They support first responders, help their neighbors, and bring order to the kind of day no one wants to have.

If you’re curious about joining the next class, or just want to learn more, reach out to Lincoln County Emergency Management or visit the Central Coast Fire & Rescue website. You might just discover your inner disaster‑response rockstar.

🔥 Light the Night! Coming Up April 26th Weekend 🔥

We’re getting the word out early so our community can join us in honoring the firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice. During the weekend of April 26th, Central Coast Fire & Rescue will join departments across the nation in recognizing National Fallen Firefighter Memorial Weekend.

To pay tribute, we will be lighting our station red as a symbol of remembrance, respect, and gratitude for those who gave everything in service to others.

We’d love for our community and local businesses to stand with us. Here are a few meaningful ways to participate:

❤️ Light your home or business red, porch lights, window lights, or outdoor displays
❤️ Wear red to show your support throughout the weekend
❤️ Share photos of your red lights or displays and tag us so families can see the community shining with them
❤️ Pause for a moment of reflection for the fallen and for the loved ones who carry their legacy forward

These lights remind families that their heroes are never forgotten and that their community stands beside them.

Thank you for helping us Light the Night this April.
