Tomorrow, November 12, 2025, is one of my favorite days of the year at the Waldport Public Library. Our Baby Storytime group--Little Bugs & Babies--meets at 10 a.m. to read and sing about the importance of giving, caring, and sharing. Each year, for over ten years, the Waldport Public Library has chosen a day in November to partner with South Lincoln Resources and add canned goods to the collection for pickup. Each of the little ones helps put in the canned goods. It is so simple, but each year my heart is happy to see these little hands dropping in food items. Tomorrow, I encourage participants to bring a couple of canned goods--or baby food!--to help someone out. Also, if you know anyone who might need a helping hand this holiday season, please have them pick up an application at the Waldport Public Library to take to South Lincoln Resources. This application is for Thanksgiving AND Christmas needs. The Waldport Public Library also has a bucket for new, unwrapped books for youth from birth to 18 years old that live in South Lincoln County. Each year, WaFD Bank, along with other banks in the area, provides gifts to local youth through their Tag Trees and by donating new books. This is another great way to participate in helping in 2025.

October has flown by at the Waldport Public Library! Tomorrow, Wednesday, October 28, at 10 a.m., our very wonderful Little Bugs & Babies are invited to the Dress Up Halloween Party! We will play games, there is a "Pumpkin Patch Photo Opportunity," read, sing, snack, and play. Oh! And, of course, we will be in costumes.

Tomorrow is Ladybug Girl book day at 10 a.m. at the Waldport Public Library! Dress up as a ladybug or your favorite insect. It is sure to be lots of fun! The Waldport Public Library is located at 460 NW Hemlock in the big blue building.

Monday, September 29, is coming right up! The Waldport Public Library is bringing Halloween decorations down from the attic for the community to "purchase" through donation. We are calling it our Attic Sale from 11 to 3 p.m. Any donations go back into our future events needs. There will be some surprises to consider too! If you are a gardener or moving, we also have plenty of cardboard boxes.

Join us Wednesday at 10:30 am at the library. The Oregon Coast Aquarium will be here talking about plastics in the ocean and how they are turning pollution into art. All ages are welcome.
