It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the unfortunate line of duty death of Deputy Thomas “Walker” LeMay. Deputy LeMay’s End of Watch is 4/19/2026. He was a true servant of the people, a loving son, brother, and father to his most precious baby girl.

In honor of Deputy LeMay, a patrol vehicle has been placed on the front lawn of the courthouse for anyone wishing to do so, and decorations are welcome to honor this dedicated deputy.

During this horrendous incident, this office has been shown great love, support, and deep appreciation from our community, neighboring law enforcement agencies, and citizens as a whole. Your prayers, kind words, and acts of service have not gone unnoticed, and we are truly grateful during this difficult time.

We ask that you continue to keep Deputy LeMay’s family, friends, and brothers and sisters in blue in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate the days ahead. His sacrifice will never be forgotten, and his legacy of service and dedication will live on through all of us.

Blessed are the peacemakers.

This training was outstanding. Its focus was on giving us the skills to provide life-saving immediate critical trauma care during and after a law enforcement incident. The instructors from the US Marshal's Service were extremely knowledgeable and professional, and provided a realistic and at times highly stressful (that's a good thing) training opportunity. We would encourage anyone who is responsible for training at a law enforcement agency to reach out to the Marshal's Service and request this training. We are also very grateful to the Waldron campus of U of A Rich Mountain for letting us use their facilities for the classroom portion of this training, and to Chief Horacio Gonzalez of the Waldron Police Department for getting this course set up for us to participate in.
