🌟 Community Spotlight: Waldwick Warriors Track & Field Heads to Nike Nationals! 🌟

Big congratulations to the incredible student-athletes of the Waldwick High School Track & Field Team for qualifying for the prestigious Nike Outdoor Nationals in Oregon! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

Competing on a national stage is an amazing accomplishment that reflects countless hours of training, dedication, perseverance, and teamwork. These athletes have proudly represented Waldwick all season long, and now they have the opportunity to compete against some of the best high school athletes in the country.

Today, the team is holding a Bake Sale outside Bagel Nosh from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM to help offset travel, lodging, and competition expenses for their trip to Oregon from June 19-22, 2026.

If you’re out and about this morning, consider stopping by for some homemade treats and breakfast snacks while supporting these hardworking Warriors. Every purchase helps bring our athletes one step closer to the national stage.

Waldwick has always been a community that rallies behind its students, and this is another opportunity to show our Warrior pride.

πŸ’™ Best of luck to our athletes as they prepare to compete at Nike Nationals!

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ A Memorial Day Message from Mayor Tom Giordano πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

β€œMy Dear Neighbors & Friends,

On this Memorial Day, let us remember what this day truly means.

It is a day of reflection, when we remember and pay tribute to those who have served our country in uniform and who died protecting our freedom.”

Mayor Tom Giordano shared a heartfelt Memorial Day message reminding the residents of Waldwick that freedom is never free and that we must always remember the sacrifices made by generations of American service members.

In his message, the Mayor reflects on the courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of those who gave their lives defending our nation and reminds us that, as America approaches 250 years of freedom, it is our duty to keep their memory alive in our hearts and community.

β€œMay God continue to bless and protect our Country, Veterans, their families and our home Waldwick.”

Thank you, Mayor Giordano, for honoring our fallen heroes and reminding us of the true meaning of Memorial Day. β€οΈπŸ€πŸ’™

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ MEMORIAL DAY REMEMBRANCE πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

This Memorial Day, we remember the extraordinary courage carried by the men and women who answered their nation’s call, often at unimaginable cost.

One story that recently caught our attention was that of Vietnam War Army helicopter pilot Art Jacobs, who repeatedly flew rescue missions into enemy fire to evacuate wounded soldiers. On one mission alone, three helicopters were shot down beneath him.

The story is a powerful reminder that behind every uniform is a human being carrying fear, sacrifice, duty, and the weight of those they could not bring home.

As we gather with family and friends this weekend, let us never forget the true meaning of Memorial Day: honoring those who gave their lives in service to our country and remembering the sacrifices made long after the battles ended.

We encourage our followers to take a moment to listen, reflect, and remember. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
