Today marks one year since our former President, Captain and fearless leader John Papendick, sadly passed away. We ask that you keep his family and the WALVAC family in your thoughts and prayers.

John will forever be remembered as a caring, selfless person who dedicated 11 years of service to helping others with WALVAC. He was a father figure to many of us, and his legacy of compassion, leadership, and dedication will continue to guide us.

John, rest easy. Thank you for being an inspiring leader, a devoted mentor, and a true friend. Your impact will never be forgotten. ❤️

It is with deep regret the Waldwick Volunteer Ambulance Corps announces the passing of John Papendick last night. John’s 11 years of service to the ambulance corps, town and community are immeasurable. John served as our President, former Captain and various other line officer positions. John was a selfless leader, a mentor, and a family member to every member of the ambulance corps. John’s legacy will be remembered for his unwavering dedication, compassion and countless lives he touched throughout his years of service. Rest easy John, we will take it from here. ❤️
