AP CAPSTONE AWARDS!!! Congratulations to our 2026 AP Capstone Award recipients: Connor Foy, Tommy Marlock, Henry Stabelfeldt, and Breleigh Wojtowicz! AP Capstone is a two-year College Board program that develops research, analysis, evidence-based argument, collaboration, writing, and presentation skills through two year-long courses: AP Seminar and AP Research. Students earn the AP Capstone Diploma by successfully completing both courses and four additional AP exams during high school. AP exams have the potential to save KM students significant college tuition costs. Based on last year’s test-takers, AP exams potentially saved KM students in grades 9–12 approximately $1.5 million in tuition. KM encourages students to challenge themselves through AP coursework and currently offers 21 AP courses, with more under consideration. Opportunities span art, computer science, English, math, music, science, social studies, and more.
AP Parent Night is also a great opportunity for 7th and 8th grade families to learn about pre-AP opportunities and begin preparing for high school. Join us October 7 from 7:00–8:00 p.m. to learn more about AP opportunities at KMHS, or visit kmsd.edu/ap.
