What to expect: A guided walk with Jeff Ritterson (Mass Audubon ornithologist) and Jacob Seidel (DCR forester) to explore how forest management affects bird habitat and learn how birds, from migratory warblers to resident chickadees, rely on forests for food, shelter, and nesting.

Join us this Saturday, April 18 to explore the magic of prescribed fire as a restoration tool on the land!

🔥Join us as we commemorate the first anniversary of the prescribed fire at Chapin and explore how the land has responded one year later.

We’ll have an enlightening conversation with experts under some coffee and donuts, followed by a walk to the site where we’ll observe post-fire ecological recovery, learn about the role of prescribed fire in ecosystem health and engage in open discussion and Q&A
