Instead of focusing on how to ease the pain of high grocery and gas prices, the Republicans are working to strip the 6th Congressional district of their representative, Congressman Jim Clyburn. They are doing so under the guise of making the maps fair and giving voters a “true choice” for representation, but who drew the maps during the last census? The Republicans did. But now it seems they’re willing to use a map drawn by Adam Kincaid of the National Republican Redistricting Trust to push through Trump’s agenda. What a farce.

On Monday night, the Oconee Women for Progress hosted Democratic candidates from across the state at Biggerstaff Retreat. Fifteen candidates, covering positions from US House 3 to Governor, Education, Treasury, Agriculture, as well as local races for State House and County Council, attended. It was quite an evening!
